However, the benevolent King himself gifted them democracy in 2008 after 101 years of ruling under monarchs.
Another interesting fact about Bhutan is that there are no traffic lights across the country. The flow is exclusively controlled by our humble traffic police with their hands.
There are no skyscrapers, and every building defines a piece of living art, crafted with unifying Bhutanese architecture.
